Lakeside Hearing is an independently owned audiology clinic with locations in both Kelowna and Lake Country, serving patients across the Okanagan and Interior BC. Founded by Dr. Nichole Sorensen, who has provided audiologic care in the Okanagan since 1999, the clinic offers comprehensive hearing, tinnitus, balance, pediatric, and auditory care grounded in evidence-based assessment and individualized treatment planning.
Lakeside Hearing works with hearing technology from all major hearing aid brands, allowing the team to recommend solutions based on each patient’s hearing profile, communication needs, listening environments, comfort, and lifestyle.
Patients travel from throughout the Okanagan and Interior BC to access the clinic’s specialized audiology services, including tinnitus management, vestibular and balance assessment, sound sensitivity care, auditory processing support, concussion-related auditory care, pediatric audiology, and complex hearing rehabilitation. The clinic is known for taking time with patients, explaining findings clearly, and building long-term relationships that support hearing and communication over time.
Lakeside Hearing is also deeply connected to the communities it serves. Over the years, the clinic has supported local organizations, educational initiatives, accessibility projects, and community fundraising efforts throughout the Okanagan. This includes ongoing involvement with Rotary events, BrainTrust Canada, Walk for Guide Dogs, local health fairs, cochlear implant support initiatives, accessibility advocacy through T-coil loop and Auracast installations, sponsorship of Lake Country ArtWalk, and support for Deaf and hard-of-hearing athletes competing internationally.
The clinic remains committed to combining advanced audiology care with meaningful community involvement and improved access to hearing and communication support across the region.
