Down The Lees is a formidable post-noise-rock trio led by guitarist/vocalist Laura Lee Schultz, with Andy Ashley on drums and Chris Carlson on bass. Known for their raw intensity, emotional depth, and powerful live shows, they blend distorted soundscapes with haunting melodies and unflinching lyrical themes. Following the success of their album 'Dirt' (produced by Juno-nominated producer Jesse Gander of Japandroids/ANCIIENTS) and OSIF Award-winning single 'Douse', the band released a high-concept concert at the Mary Irwin Theatre in Kelowna for a live album and concert film called 'This Is What It Feels Like,' supported by Creative BC and the Province of British Columbia. Captured by Irisphere Entertainment, the performance blends emotionally charged live footage with cinematic visuals created by the band, resulting in an immersive experience that reflects their sonic intensity and artistic vision. With past releases including the critically acclaimed album Bury the Sun (recorded by Steve Albini), and a history of sharing stages with Brutus, Pile, Sparta, Chastity, and KEN mode, Down The Lees continues to earn a reputation as a must-see act on the festival circuit.
