Since 1963, Big White Ski Resort has been a defining part of the Okanagan, just down the road from Kelowna and deeply woven into the local community. Still family-owned, it stands apart as one of Canada’s largest and most accessible resorts, offering 2,834 acres of patrolled terrain, 119 runs, and the second-largest lift system in Western Canada, delivering a world-class experience with a distinctly local feel.

Continued investment ensures it remains welcoming for all, with a recent $600,000 upgrade to the Kids’ Centre and $1 million in planned beginner-area improvements, reinforcing its commitment to growing the next generation of skiers and riders.

At its core is a vibrant ski-in, ski-out village, shaped by independent businesses and a strong connection to the Okanagan.

Beyond the mountain, Big White plays a leading role in regional events. Signature events like the TELUS Kelowna Cup, the historic Neil Edgeworth Banked Slalom, and Big Red’s Winter Wine Festival bring the community together and drive regional tourism.

That commitment is matched by meaningful impact. In the past year alone, Big White and its guests contributed $89,116 to local causes, supporting organizations like Powderhounds Adaptive Snowsports and the Central Okanagan Food Bank.

More than a resort, Big White is a year-round community partner and a driving force in the Okanagan, making it not only a destination but a cornerstone of the region.
